During the war the family was in Abakan, the husband went to the front.

For her 100-year anniversary Ekaterina Ivanovna will receive a bouquet of flowers, congratulatory address, and a gift from the administration of Verkh-Isetsky District. The message of congratulation says: «100 year jubilee is a solemn and meaningful date. It had been much experienced: war, hunger, deprivation. But all the tests intended by the fate have been endured, thanks to fortitude, strength of character and strong family support».
