14 января 2010 21:16

Two concerts will be given by the well-known violoncellist Alexander Knyazev in Ekaterinburg. As Sverdlovsk philharmonic society informs, Knyazev is considered to be great Rostropovich's successor.

The musician will give a concert together with the Ural philharmonic orchestra. On January, 15th he will execute the Concert for violoncello with Dvorzhak's orchestra. On January, 16th at solo concert Alexander Knyazev will play the organ compositions of Bach.

Knyazev explains his passion for such opposite instruments: «violoncello is subjective personal instrument, organ is objective and cosmic».

Alexander Knyazev is an honored artist of Russia, artist of Moscow philharmonic society, ex-professor of Moscow conservatory. He became the youngest prize-winner of prestigious Russian Tchaikovsky competition - he was 17 years old.
