Ural students-programmers left recognized leaders behind in the final of the world championship

«Ural Wine» team of Ural state university took the thirteenth «bronze» place in the final of XXXIV team student's World programming championship in Harbin. It is the best result for last eight years. The sixteenth place taken by the Ural dwellers in 2001 in Vancouver was the best result whenthey also got «bronze».

«To tell the truth we got used to participation of our programmers in the world finals,- rector of Ural state university Dmitry Bugrov noted.- But now it is possible to tell that we at university and in general in the Urals have a new great team. And as a whole the leadership positions were reaffirmed by the Russian school of programming».

In total when last hour of competitions was left undergraduate of the faculty of mathematics and mechanics of Ural state university Ivan Burmistrov, fourth-year student Denis Dublennykh and 16-year-old student Eugenie Kurpilyansky with three solved problems were in the forty-fourth place. So «bronze» was won in the issue of spurt. In total students of Shanghai University who became winners, and vice-champion - team of Moscow State University passed ahead of our team by one problem. We passed ahead of such world grandees, as Stanford, Massachusetts institute of technology and the previous winner - Saint Petersburg state university of information technologies, mechanics and optics which students were visited by the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev last year.
