Eight business centers are planned to be opened in 2009

Eight business centers are planned to be opened during the year of 2009, with the total area of more than one hundred thousand square meters. Two of these are «A» class centers of 43.1 thousand square meters, and six more «B» class office buildings of 57.5 thousand square meters.

The first «B» class office building started in April 2009 in Narodnaya Volya Street, 19, with its area of 14 thousand square meters. Another three «officings» are to be opened during the summer period. In June an office of administrative and hotel complex «Summit» («A» class, of 40 thousand square meters) is to start at the cross-street 8 Marta and Dekabristov. In July an administrative and trade building «Nakhimov Plaza» (class «B», of 14 thousand square meters) will be launched in Vainer Street, 9 «a»; and in August a business center «Rifey» (class «B») will be put into service in Moskovskaya Street, 56.

All activities are carried out as part of a strategic project «Business centers of Ekaterinburg», approved by the Head of the city Arkady Chernetsky. The main idea of the project is creating the conditions for a modern competitive market of office real estate in the city, meeting the international standard level and requirements.

It should be noted that today there are 77 business centers in Ekaterinburg with the total area of 704 thousand square meters. Among them: 13% are «A» class «officings»; 51.5% are «B» class business centers and 35.5% of «C» class buildings. The average capacity of existing office centers nowadays is from 50% to 80%, while rental rates are reduced by 15% to 25%.
